Job Description - Senior Administration Officer

Integrated Foods Group is an international food processing and agricultural business, operating large-scale farming and boutique lamb processing sites across Gisborne and Napier.


We are looking for a vibrant and talented Senior Administration Officer to join our Finance & Administration team in Gisborne.



This is a newly established role designed to provide cover and support across a range of administrative and finance functions within the Integrated Foods Group. You’ll play an important part in keeping things running smoothly by stepping in where needed and supporting core business operations.

About the Role


Working closely with the Administration Manager and wider team, you will provide day-to-day support across payroll, accounts, and general administration. Your role will focus on ensuring continuity of operations and assisting with key processes across the business.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Providing support and cover across Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Assisting with financial administration, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting

  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements

  • Supporting procurement systems and databases

  • Assisting with general administration tasks, including reception, calls, travel bookings, and coordination

  • Helping with month-end processes and audit preparation

  • Responding to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner

  • Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and processes


This role is varied and hands-on, offering exposure across multiple areas of the business.



About You


You will be someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, provides exceptional customer service, and is comfortable working across a range of administrative tasks.


We’re looking for someone with:



  • Previous experience in IMS/MYOB payroll, administration, or finance support

  • Strong organisation and time management skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Confidence using systems and learning new tools

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience with accounting or payroll systems (e.g. Xero, MYOB) is essential.
