Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do
As a Senior Advisor, you’ll provide high-quality advice and leadership on complex, high-profile work, influencing decision-making at a strategic level. You’ll collaborate across teams and agencies, lead implementation of important initiatives, and contribute to improving health outcomes—particularly through a strong focus on equity and reducing alcohol-related harm.
Deliver high-quality advice and provide oversight and direction on key work programmes
Lead the implementation of complex initiatives, working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders
Develop and drive performance monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks
Lead projects and planning, ensuring work is strategic, well-coordinated, and outcomes-focused
Build strong relationships across the Ministry and wider sector, while contributing to public health initiatives and cross-agency approaches to reducing alcohol-related harm
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of how government and policy environments operate
Proven experience working in health or social sector policy or system strategy, ideally in a government or regulatory setting
Strong project leadership and delivery skills, with the ability to manage complex initiatives from start to finish
Excellent analytical thinking and judgement, with experience developing clear options and advice for decision-makers
Strong communication and relationship skills, with the ability to influence, engage stakeholders, and tailor messages to different audiences
