Senior Audio Visual Technician

As a Hybrid Workplace Senior AV Technician, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless AV solutions for our clients. Your primary duties are to enable the implementation, onboarding, service, and support of Ricoh’s Hybrid Workplace customers. Play a pivotal role in facilitating AV projects by collaborating with technical consultants, project managers, suppliers, and customers. You will oversee the transition of projects to support, working alongside third-party AV programmers as needed. This role involves reviewing and signing off on third-party programming, staying updated on modern AV solutions to make recommendations for Ricoh's relevance and efficiency, and ensuring programming meets ISMS requirements for future support. 

Additionally, you'll handle technical issues with a focus on maintaining a high standard of quality, onboard completed solutions with the project team, and meticulously document processes for future reference. Providing customer training and cross-training for engineers and support staff are also key responsibilities, along with managing administrative tasks and suggesting improvements within the team.

What you'll bring: 
You’ll excel in customer service and communication, making decisive on-the-spot decisions for technology implementation and support whilst possessing comprehensive expertise in various AV technologies. You'll also be experienced in: 

• Microsoft Teams Rooms implementation and support
• AV Control Systems
• Distributed AV Over IP Solutions
• Networked Audio and DSP Solutions
• Digital Signage, CMS, deployment, and support 
• Sound AV IT knowledge 
• Third party management experience preferred 
• An excellent grasp of English, both written and verbal 
• Technical aptitude

A snapshot of the role: 

• A broad platform of experience across AV technologies to provide technical support at a senior level
• Assist with systems design where required, provide technical support, guidance, and coordination across the implementation of AV Solutions
• Work with the project team, commissioning engineers, customers, suppliers and internal support teams to ensure the Hybrid Workplace experience of our customers is world-class 
• Be an escalation point for service and support of our customers' AV systems
• Be adaptable to changing situations or circumstances and develop practical solutions to unfamiliar or difficult situations 
• Support the Project Delivery team with technical knowledge and insight
• Onboard, Manage, audit third party programmers 
• Complete documentation and technical onboarding to support teams 
• Provide or facilitate third party training for support teams
• Maintain/improve internal and external customer relations 
• Respond & assist to technical issues that have escalated above the service team.
