Senior Automation Test Specialist - Guidewire

We're seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer , Guidewire to contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of automated testing solutions across our Guidewire platform. You will play a key role in driving quality engineering practices, supporting delivery teams, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across complex insurance applications.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington)

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Guidewire applications.


• Deliver end-to-end testing across PolicyCenter, integrations, and APIs.


• Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and champion quality engineering best practices.


• Collaborate closely with business, development, and delivery teams to ensure quality outcomes.


• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement across testing practices.

Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring

• Strong experience in test automation using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Karate, or similar.


• Experience testing Guidewire applications and integrations within complex enterprise environments.


• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.


• Strong API and integration testing experience using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Karate.


• Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and source control best practices.


• Familiarity with Jira, Xray, and Confluence.


• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.


• Experience with Agile delivery, shift-left testing, risk-based testing, and AI-assisted testing practices.
