Senior Automation Tester

What projects / work will the successful candidate be working on? 

We build and support applications that play a vital part in the Payments ecosystem. Working with front end and downstream applications to develop, support and maintain payment systems will be a critical part of the role. 
  
What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? 

• Technical Expertise: Creating and designing scalable automation test frameworks. Prepare automation test script, execute and maintain them ensuring high coverage. We report & track any defects until they are resolved.  

• Problem Solving: Undertake testing activities in relation to software solutions ensuring quality meets specification and requirements 

• Participate in resolving defects, production incidents by diagnosing issues, testing and implementing a fix. 

• Leadership and Collaboration: Mentoring juniors, collaborating with engineers, and improving the automation strategies to align with business goals. Oversee testing practice across the team. 

• Business Impact: Collaborate with the wider team to ensure applications meet client needs, security standards and practices. Establish practice to reduce manual effort and improve release cycle and quality 

What specific skills and experience are  for this role?  

• 7+ Years proven experience designing and creating automation frameworks  
• Test automation framework using Java Rest assured, Nightwatch and Typescript 
• Performance testing experience with tools like Jmeter 
• Familiarity with Openshift, AWS and CICD (Jenkins, Spinnaker) desirable 
• API and Integration testing 
• Familiarity with MQ, message driven architectures, asynchronous integration testing 
• Experience in Banking or financial services with good analysis and problem Solving  
• Collaborative mindset, a proactive attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment 
• Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with technical and non-technical audience 
• Curiosity to learn, willingness to speak up and contribute to the strategic vision of the team.
