Senior Business Manager, Foodstuffs – DKSH New Zealand

About the Role

As the Senior Business Manager, Foodstuffs, you will lead DKSH’s national Foodstuffs account team and drive exceptional commercial performance across both Foodstuffs North Island and South Island. This is a senior FMCG leadership role where you will shape customer strategy, strengthen key partnerships, and unlock growth opportunities across our portfolio. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding results, developing capability within the team, and ensuring DKSH is positioned as a trusted, value‑adding partner.

What You Will Deliver

• National team leadership — Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing account team to exceed sales and execution targets


• Strategic customer partnership — Build and strengthen senior relationships with Foodstuffs NI & SI to drive collaboration and long‑term growth


• Sales strategy & execution — Deliver strategies that enhance distribution, presence, display quality, and commercial outcomes


• Commercial performance management — Monitor P&L, trade spend, financial performance, and customer insights to support informed decision‑making


• Joint Business Planning — Lead the JBP process to ensure alignment, accountability, and delivery of strategic growth initiatives


• Market & competitor insight — Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage


• Team engagement & capability — Motivate, support, and develop your team to ensure strong performance, alignment, and engagement

What You Bring

• Senior FMCG sales or account management experience — Proven success leading major retail accounts


• Strong commercial acumen — Deep understanding of P&L, trade spend, financial levers, and commercial strategy


• Exceptional relationship & influencing capability — Able to influence senior stakeholders and negotiate effectively


• Foodstuffs or major retailer experience — Strong understanding of the NZ grocery landscape


• Leadership & people development — Skilled at building capability, driving performance, and fostering a high‑performance culture


• Analytical mindset — Experience with Aztec, Nielsen, or other FMCG data tools


• Strategic, results‑driven approach — Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, complex environment
