Join IAG’s Virtualisation Engineering team and help drive our cloud modernisation journey as a Senior Citrix Cloud Engineer - modernising legacy environments, uplifting automation, and enhancing the virtual workplace experience across Australia and New Zealand. 

In this role, you’ll design, build, automate, and support Citrix virtual desktop solutions using industry best practices. You’ll help drive the uplift from traditional on‑premise systems to cloud‑first platforms, with a strong emphasis on automation, simplification, cost optimisation, and reliability engineering.

This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

• Engineer, automate, and support Citrix Cloud and virtual desktop solutions


• Lead cloud migration activities, moving legacy workloads to modern cloud platforms.


• Drive automation using Terraform, PowerShell, and modern tooling to simplify and standardise operations.


• Improve platform reliability through runbooks, monitoring, optimisation, and production support activities.


• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver enhancements.


• Work within Agile ways of working (stand-ups, planning, retros)

Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring

• 7- 10+ years in infrastructure operations or system engineering


• Strong background in Citrix technologies (CVAD / DaaS, MCS, App Layering, NetScaler, StoreFront, WEM)


• Experience supporting Citrix workloads in Azure, including cost optimisation


• Strong knowledge of cloud modernisation and virtual workplace solutions


• Proven experience in automation & IaC (Terraform, scripting, API integration, GitHub pipelines)


• Root cause analysis, performance engineering, and process optimisation skills


• Ability to evaluate new technologies and contribute to strategic product development
