Role:The Civil Engineer will specialise in land development, waste water pump design and storm water design. It is imperative that this Engineer has 5-10 years’ NZ civil experience. You will be working on small, large, urban and rural developments.
Duties:- Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale to large-scale construction projects
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Storm water design and calculations
- Design reports and 3 Waters assessment report writing
- Civil 3D roads and services reticulation design
- Waste water pump design
- Engineering analysis (risks) and costing of projects (materials, etc.)
- Contract administration and supervision
- Compliance with engineering consent conditions
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Software: - AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- 12D
- Microsoft Office 365
You will have:- Proven working experience in civil engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or 12D.
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc.
- Sound mathematical, scientific and IT skills.
- Ability to think methodically and to manage projects.
- Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets.
- Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Experience with SSA
- Flood modelling beneficial
- Hydrology modelling
