Senior Cloud Support Engineer

We are seeking a senior systems engineer to join a company which is a bright light in the IT services sphere. This rapidly growing company is looking to add to their team. You will be joining a motivated team in a great environment in a role which will offer significant opportunity for growth. This role has become available due to company expansion. This role will be based in Hamilton supporting an increasing number of nationwide clients with interesting technical environments. You will work with emerging and cloud technologies.

This is a mixed role for a candidate with a range of technical ability who is looking to contribute to all aspects of resolving client issues. We need someone who can be client facing. You will take on the planning and delivery of projects across medium to enterprise size clients. This is not paperwork and planning focused position, we want a candidate who wants to get on-site and build and deploy solutions and solve client problems.  

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to take escalations from the support team, investigate and resolve problems. You will have 5 years working at an engineering level. Ideally you will have some strength in the networking space  (LAN, WLAN, VLAN, routing, switching, DNS, TCP/IP firewall, VoIP). However, this role suits a generalist with strong skills in the Microsoft Server space (Server 2008, 2012, Exchange). For this positon, you will likely be working extensively on Virtualisation (VMware, Veam), and also be working with cloud solutions (O365, Azure, AWS, GPC etc.), any Citrix experience would also be useful. Most importantly will be your attitude and communication, you will have a positive attitude, enjoy dealing with clients, be willing to contribute to the ongoing success of the team.
