Our role as the Bank of New Zealand is to help navigate New Zealand towards a better future. That means we are focusing on our customers, continually improving the way we do business.
This role is part of our Enterprise Investments Team, who are trusted advisors for the Bank, providing analytics and insights to help execute on the Bank's strategy in the most efficient, cost-effective way possible. We co-pilot with leadership teams across the business and are an enabler to the success of the Bank.
This role proactively works with business leaders and Finance Partners to understand, analyse and manage key cost drivers across change initiatives, maintaining awareness of the organisation's exposure to commercial and financial risks. You'll play a pivotal role in managing relationships between the Finance Partners and the Project Investment Community, providing financial support and advice to ensure successful delivery of projects, maximising outcomes of the investment spend while maintaining strict financial governance of this spend.

Truly no two days are the same and you'll have variety through the different projects you work on. This is not a 'traditional' Analyst or Accountant role. Although you will have the technical experience, you will be someone that enjoys a challenge, doesn't just accept how things are done and looks for ways to improve and simplify. We need someone proactive who shows initiative, as you'll have the opportunity to be involved in projects that will help the bank move towards achieving its strategic ambition, and deal with a wide range of stakeholders from different business units across the bank. You'll connect with senior stakeholders, as well as get to know the insights on all the exciting new things the bank is investing in and building.

You'll be a proactive finance professional, who can demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communications skills - This is crucial to the role as you'll need to understand but also convey complex issues/data for others to comprehend.
