We're on the lookout for a Senior Delivery Lead to join our Digital delivery team at Watercare. This role sits in our Operational Technology portfolio, leading a wide variety of control systems, digital infrastructure, network communications and digital platform projects supporting our wider OT environment. 

You’ll be working with the one of the largest implementations of Distributed Control Systems (Emersons DeltaV) in New Zealand, alongside other critical systems and platforms such as Kingfisher RTUs, AVEVA System Platform, HyperV and Nozomi, as well as utilising innovative technologies to overcome geographical and connectivity challenges across our fibre and radio networks. You are comfortable with formal project  management, building  excellent supplier relationships and working with multiple stakeholders, the Senior Delivery Lead will bring structure and leadership, prudent financial management, and timely and accurate reporting to enable effective management of assigned Watercare projects. 

• Take full responsibility and own project delivery end to end, from definition, through business case, to delivery and embedding change 

• Articulate business value and drive the delivery of business outcomes, not just deliver and forget 

• Ensures that effective project control, change control, risk management and quality management processes are maintained. 

• Strong H&S focus 

• Effectively manage vendor delivery performance and value for money. 

• Drive effective change management 

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across digital and operations 

• Take ownership of team performance 

• Support the wider delivery team in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of digital delivery 

Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you  

• Tertiary level qualification in an appropriate discipline 

• Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2, PMP) 

• 3 years' experience leading cross functional teams across large projects or programme delivery 

• Experience leading large, high profile projects with budgets > $3M. 

• Excellent leadership skills, communicating clear strategy and purpose. 

• Experience of working in fast paced digital environments, delivering at pace.  

• A demonstrable track record of enabling continuous improvement. 

• Experience working in high criticality operating environments 

• Strong facilitation skills, presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders. 

• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently; strong organization skills; ability to plan forward and manage deadlines.  

• Strong attention to detail 

• Excellent commercial awareness with a good sense of value for money.
