Senior Developer – Kafka and AWS

• Senior Developer – Kafka and AWS
• Contract until 30 June 2025
• Wellington Based – Hybrid working
• $125ph + GST

We are looking for a Fullstack Java Developer with experience in Kafka and AWS and leading a product development team.

You will be working in Agile and Waterfall software development environments and will have experience building dev pipeline using continuous integration patterns and automation technologies like bamboo.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrable hands-on full-stack development experience with Java
• JavaScript, React
• Springboot
• RESTful APIs / Microservices
• Maven/Gradle
• Postgres
• AWS services – Amplify, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, EKS, RDS
• Kafka

Key Responsibilities:

• Works with the Technical Lead to ensure development quality and best practices.
• Develop the initial framework for the solution and ensures developers have necessary tools.
• Address and escalate quality issues that may conflict with project constraints
• Mentor developers on processes like pull requests, code reviews, and detailed designs.
• Lead standardization of code repositories and management practices.
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead on planned releases
