About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Te Iho | Corporate Services team. This role is all about ensuring financial decision-making and planning at Manatū Taonga is effective and robust. The position is in a small team with a wide reach, working across departmental and non-departmental activities, including managing funding flows, preparing external financial accountability documents and ensuring compliance with legislation and accounting standards. You’ll also have the opportunity to support other finance functions or improvement initiatives to broaden your experience.



What you’ll bring



  • Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) qualification

  • At least 5 years’ experience, ideally with TechnologyOne or similar systems

  • Experience in government planning, reporting, and budget cycle processes preferred

  • A knack for managing work at pace, with accuracy and attention to detail
