POSITION: SENIOR INFORMATION SYSTEMS / DATA ANALYST

New Zealand Local Government Funding Agency Ltd (LGFA)
LGFA was enabled under the Local Government Borrowing Act 2011 and was incorporated on 1 December 2011. LGFA is owned by 30 Councils and the Crown and is a Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO) operating under the Local Government Act 2002.
LGFA’s primary purpose is to be a low-cost provider of efficient and diversified funding sources for NZ local authorities. LGFA lends to councils and CCOs and has 90% market share of the local government debt market.
LGFA is the largest issuer of NZD securities after the New Zealand Government with $20 billion of NZD bonds on issue and it is the sixth largest financial lending institution in New Zealand by assets after the five major banks.

The Role
We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our Wellington team as a Senior Information Systems Analyst.
This new role is an exciting opportunity for someone with financial markets experience and strong knowledge of contemporary business reporting tools, including Microsoft’s power platform, to assist complex business processes by designing, maintaining, and integrating technical solutions to enhance LGFA’s information quality and accessibility. You will also provide key technical support for maintaining the integrity of LGFA’s treasury system.

The Successful Candidate
This position requires an individual with treasury finance experience, including demonstratable understanding of financial instruments and financial markets operations, strong quantitative and modelling skills, and the ability to manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
In specific, the successful candidate will have:
A minimum of three years’ experience in an appropriate financial markets or treasury environment.
Demonstrated strong financial analytical ability and understanding of financial instruments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
Demonstrated ability with data transformation and reporting solutions.
Ability to communicate complex information to a diverse audience
An appropriate tertiary qualification.
