An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Librarian - Children and Youth to join the Kaipātiki Local Board, based in Birkenhead Library. This is a permanent position working 38 hours per week, including one weekend day.

A champion for literacy and learning, the Senior Librarian – Children and Youth is responsible for delivering responsive and engaging programmes and events for tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau. This role is vital for connecting young people with our library; our goal is that young people can have fun, learn, and thrive through the services and programmes that we offer. This role also supports the day-to-day running of the library, providing leadership, opportunities for collaboration, and mentoring to staff in the team and across the local board.
