About the role

As the Senior Manager – Enterprise Resilience, you will play a key role in Auckland Airports Enterprise Resilience, Business Continuity, and Emergency Planning. In this role you will focus on building capability through leading and integrating strategy, systems, policies, planning, and practices across all aspects of Auckland Airports Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS). Maintaining guardianship of the Airport Emergency Plan, Business Continuity Plan and relevant programs for CAA part 139 and part 100 certification will be vital in this role.

Your key responsibilities are:

• Lead the development of Auckland Airports Enterprise Resilience Strategy, Framework and Plans by designing, embedding, and integrating Enterprise Resilience practices into business-as-usual activities and the organisational culture.
• Support the business to determine the Recovery Point and Recovery Time Objectives for the operationally Critical Activities.
• Ownership of CIMS Framework processes, systems, procedures, and quality assurance. 
• Manage development and implementation of the business continuity programme and exercises in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, JEOC, and Civil Defence organisations.
• Report proactively to the Leadership Team and Board on key issues such as major regulatory change, emergency exercises, business continuity and civil defence and provide recommendations and action plans for improvement.
• Work with the business to integrate the new incident management software into emergency management.
• Conduct post-incident analyses, capturing lessons learned, and implementing continuous improvement based on these insights can enhance resilience capabilities over time.
• Measure enterprise resilience, business continuity management and emergency planning maturity and report on the implementation of actions to achieve target maturity.

What you’ll bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in business continuity and emergency planning.
• Working knowledge of the CIMS framework.
• Highly experienced with CAA rules, specifically CAA Part 139 and part 100 
• Operational experience working in an airport environment.
• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement.
• Leadership skills with the ability to influence and educate both operational staff and senior managers, combined with the ability to build strong networks with key stakeholders. 
• Sound business writing and verbal communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and cope with business complexity.
