Senior Manager - Operations Integration

What you will be doing 

We are looking for a Senior Manager – Operational Integration to provide leadership and direction for operational integration across Auckland Airport’s infrastructure programmes, ensuring operational, regulatory, and partner requirements are successfully embedded into current and future programmes. 
 
You will be leading a team specifically responsible for both the baggage and government agency integration programmes across the future integrated terminal and are the primary point of contact for complex, high-stakes infrastructure related operational issues, driving collaboration and pragmatic solutions across the business.   

Your key responsibilities are: 

• Provide senior strategic leadership for operational integration across complex, multi‑stakeholder infrastructure programmes 

• Provide strong and clear leadership to the operational integration team  

• Ensure operational, regulatory, and ecosystem partner requirements (including JBAs, ground handlers, airlines) are fully integrated into programme design and delivery. 

• Lead key forums and stakeholder engagement, driving alignment, decision‑making, and collaboration across the airport ecosystem. 

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues, including programme‑level baggage integration related developments. 

• Oversee operational integration activities across all programme stages, ensuring high‑quality documentation, risk management, and assurance. 

• Drive the future of baggage outcomes, including responding to ICS programme developments and leading engagement with all relevant parties. 

• Partner closely with the ORAT team to ensure operational readiness outcomes are achieved. 

• Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across all integration activities. 

• Role model Auckland Airport’s “People First” Health, Safety & Wellbeing approach, ensuring safe work practices and strong risk awareness 

What you’ll bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need: 

• Degree qualification in commerce, business or engineering with additional Project management qualification (i.e. Prince) desirable 

• 10+ years' experience in representing operational interests in significant infrastructure/transformation projects at a senior level, including within complex, multi-stakeholder environments 

• Proven programme management expertise, including delivery of large, multi-year, cross-functional initiatives. 

• In-depth understanding of infrastructure design, delivery, and operational integration processes. 

• Demonstrated experience working with regulatory agencies, government bodies, and industry partners. 

• Track record of leading cross functional teams through significant change, ambiguity, and transformation. 

• Familiarity with risk management, compliance, and assurance frameworks. 

• Proven record in influencing / persuading and commercial negotiation
