Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Itss - Infosecurity

Security (Information & Communication Technology) As the Senior Manager / Assistant Director of Cyber Security at A*STAR, you will work with security professionals to safeguard the organisation's digital assets against cyber threats. You will assist in finetuning the cyber security strategy that aligns with A*STAR's mission to foster scientific and technological research for Singapore's economic growth and social development. The role's key focus will be bolstering A*STAR's existing SOC Operations and Incident Response. In addition to managing the existing suite of security tools, you will be responsible for planning and implementing initiatives to strengthen A*STAR's security posture. You will also work closely with other functional teams to ensure cybersecurity is integrated into all aspects of A*STAR's operations. Key Responsibilities : Assist in finetuning the cyber security strategy that aligns with A*STAR's mission to foster scientific and technological research for Singapore's economic growth and social development. Bolster A*STAR's existing SOC Operations and Incident Response. Good understanding of cloud security principles and best practices and experience implementing and managing cloud security solutions. Manage and maintain the existing suite of security tools, including Web Isolation, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Scanner, Network Access Control, Privilege Access Management, Cloud WAF, and EDR. Plan and implement initiatives to strengthen A*STAR's security posture, including but not limited to implementing new security tools, conducting regular security assessments, and providing training and awareness programs for staff. Work closely with other functional teams, including Network and Infra, to ensure that cybersecurity is integrated into all aspects of A*STAR's operations. Source for budgetary quotes and prepare Approval for Requestion Memos for cybersecurity initiatives. Conduct regular cyber security roadshows and newsletters to raise awareness and promote best practices across A*STAR. Stay current with the latest trends and threats in cyber security and implement best practices to ensure A*STAR's strong security posture. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, or a related field. About 10 years of experience in cyber security. Strong knowledge of cyber security technologies, standards, and practices, focusing on SOC Operations and Incident Response. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications : Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA. Certifications in Cloud Security would be an added advantage. Experience in a specific industry, such as finance or healthcare. Familiarity with government, healthcare, and academic environments.
