We develop, manufacture, and export innovative wound care products, improving the lives of millions around the world by unlocking extraordinary outcomes for our patients. Our mission is to be the global leader in regenerative healing, making our products and services accessible to everybody.

About the role:

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to join our Auckland Head Office, reporting to the Manager, Operations Engineering. The Operations Engineering team acts as the key engineering link between Production, Development, and Quality, supporting manufacturing performance, efficiency, and quality outcomes.

This role is responsible for resolving production issues, supporting manufacturing transfer, investigating quality events, and monitoring batch metrics across all production lines. You’ll play a hands-on, influential role in keeping complex, regulated manufacturing systems running at their best. You’ll work closely with Production, Process, Quality, Technical Services, and Facilities teams to drive continuous improvement. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strong technical leadership and engineering expertise

  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers

  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives

  • Supporting production efficiency, output, and quality targets

  • Leading root-cause investigations and implementing robust, compliant solutions

  • Driving data-led decision making through performance metrics and trend analysis

What you’ll bring:

You’ll hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering and bring strong technical experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally in medical devices or pharmaceuticals. You will also have:

    • 5+ years in a similar operations engineering role (or related discipline)

    • Demonstrated technical capability in medical device manufacturing

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly

    • A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

    • Proven experience working within GMP, ISO 13485, or similarly regulated environments

A continuous improvement mindset, with experience implementing sustainable process or system improvements

    What we offer:

At AROA NZ, we value our people and make sure working with us is rewarding, both professionally and personally. Here’s what you can enjoy as part of our team:

      • Health & Wellbeing – Free on-site gym and fitness classes, plus an annual paid health and wellbeing allowance.

      • Birthday Leave – A paid day off to celebrate your special day!

      • Convenient Location – Free carparking onsite at our Airport Oaks sites with easy motorway access.

      • Sustainable Travel Support – Fareshare public transport subsidy, WorkRide program, onsite bike shed, and electric bike charging stations.

      • Family-Friendly Benefits – Generous parental leave entitlements to support you and your loved ones.

      • Flexible/Hybrid Work Options – Where roles permit, enjoy flexibility to balance work and life.

      • Social & Team Culture – Join a social club and enjoy team events and activities in a supportive, inclusive workplace.

      • Career Growth & Impact – Be part of a mission-led company doing work that’s never been done before, with opportunities for learning, development, and real impact.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have existing NZ working rights.
