The role, what you will do.

Our growing Christchurch team is looking for a Senior or Principal level Civil Engineer, with experience in leading the design process in a design & build environment, on major roads projects to join us in delivering exciting projects locally, but also across New Zealand and Australia. 

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, this opportunity would see you providing support and mentoring to build the capacity of junior Engineers. You will also be responsible for preparing concept and detailed civil engineering designs, producing technical and commercial specifications, drawings, and schedules on a range of projects. 

 
You will work in close partnership with the Mott MacDonald team, the client and contractors through design phases and into construction monitoring.

About you

As a senior engineering professional, you will have extensive experience in highways design as well as sound practical knowledge of highways design standards. You’ll be degree qualified in Civil Engineering with a number of years post graduate experience. 
Your interest in developing and supporting others in their career journeys will establish you as a core member of the team. Using your communication and collaboration skills, you’ve been involved in leading design teams as well as mentoring team members and you can clearly interpret client requirements to produce engineering proposals.

Your well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and guide key stakeholders will set you up for success in your career at Mott MacDonald.
