Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior People Technology Analyst to join our team and help shape and support our Workday HCM solutions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to solve complex issues, identify improvements, and deliver practical solutions that make a real difference to the colleague experience. You’ll work across the full solution lifecycle—from analysis and troubleshooting through to configuration, delivery, testing, and ongoing optimisation—while building strong partnerships with stakeholders across the business.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Provide Level 2 support for Workday HCM and its integrations with downstream systems, including ADP Payroll.
Work closely with the People & Culture team to resolve complex HR system and business process issues that require specialist advice.
Analyse enhancement requests, recommend solutions and business process best practice, and support an agile approach to delivery.
Lead the end-to-end resolution of bugs and system defects when needed.
Help ensure compliance with legal, audit, and risk standards.
Share your knowledge with team members, identify coaching opportunities, and support the growth and development of others.
What will help you thrive in this role?
You’ll bring solid experience supporting an HR system, ideally with at least five years in a similar environment, along with a tertiary qualification in a relevant technical field. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys solving problems, building strong relationships, and working collaboratively with others. You will also bring:
Strong Workday HCM expertise across Core, Compensation, Time and Attendance, Performance, and Learning.
Proven experience in technical troubleshooting and incident management.
Experience managing complex incidents involving integrations across multiple systems.
Experience working with vendors and collaborating with teams across different regions.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Experience in test management.
