Senior Project Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will play a key role in the financial management of projects or business units, primarily supporting the Project Finance Manager to drive finance excellence.

The role ensures robust processes are in place for accurate reporting, timely performance insights, and data integrity.

Additionally, the Project Accountant identifies areas for improvement and works with the Project Finance Manager and project teams to implement necessary changes.

As a subject matter expert (SME) on transaction accounting, the Project Accountant will share this expertise with the project team.

ABOUT YOU

In this role, you need to have solid experience in the Infrastructure sectors particularly in Roading Construction and Maintenance and as well as either a CA/CPA qualification or working towards completing one is required.  

Skills, Characteristics, and other experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Office 365, SAP or similar ERP.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Effective time management abilities.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles for construction/maintenance projects.


• Supportive of workload and knowledge sharing.


• Collaborative within the national finance team.


• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset.
