Senior Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Wellington. This role is part of a large government agency that is implementing a broader operating model for delivery and people changes within the housing supply. The programme is now entering its third phase, aiming to establish a systemised and predictable way to deliver houses in the most financially sustainable manner.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be instrumental in managing complex projects across various streams of work, focusing on process and people change. You will be delivering within the context of a broader programme of work, playing a critical role in operating model and people change initiatives. Your ability to identify dependencies and risks as information evolves will be key to your success in this role. Furthermore, you will collaborate with other enabling functions within the business to ensure that the programme's outcomes are delivered effectively.

• Manage complex projects at a senior level, overseeing multiple streams of work across process and people change
• Deliver within the framework of a broader programme of work
• Play a critical role in operating model and people change initiatives
• Work closely with other enabling functions within the business to ensure the outcomes of the programme are delivered
• Identify dependencies and risks as information evolves
• Support subject matter experts to deliver the required outcomes of the programme

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Project Manager position brings proven experience at the senior level managing complex projects. A relevant qualification such as Prince2 or MSP would be preferred. You possess strong relationship management skills and have an ability to communicate complex information in a simple way for decision makers. Your strong written and verbal communication skills enable you to present effectively to senior stakeholders. As a natural team player, you value collaboration and support others to achieve programme outcomes. Your calm disposition allows you to thrive amidst many moving parts and changing contexts, demonstrating resilience on all fronts.
