Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our large-scale commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, and ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis.
• Manage all phases of the construction cost management process.
• Monitor and report on project costs and progress.
• Prepare and negotiate contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure effective communication and project success.
• Perform risk and value management and cost control.
• Provide advice on contractual claims.
• Maintain awareness of different building contracts in current use.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Proficiency in construction cost estimating software.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, NZIQS) is preferred.
