Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

This role plays a key part in how we manage and use data across the branch, helping lift the quality of our functions and services, and ensuring decision makers have the information they need - whether they’re on the frontline, in senior leadership or advising Ministers. 

You will:

• Provide technical leadership in data management, reporting, and analysis


• Turn complex data into clear insights that inform decisions at all levels - from frontline operations to senior leadership


• Lead the development of reporting tools and dashboards across Building & Tenancy


• Lead improvements to streamline and enhance reporting processes


• Identify and explore opportunities to introduce smarter, more innovative reporting solutions, including the use of AI


• Troubleshoot, problem solve, and work collaboratively to explore and resolve issues relating to data integrity, reporting, and data management systems


• Coach and mentor others to lift reporting and analytical capability

Skills and Experience Required
 

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking


• Experience in data management, reporting, and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, SAP Client, MS SQL, Business Objects)


• Confident problem solver, able to troubleshoot data and reporting issues


• Able to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non technical audiences


• Experience improving reporting processes and data quality


• Collaborative working style with strong relationship skills


• Ability to coach and support others using self service reporting tools


• Proactive and innovative, with interest in emerging technologies such as AI


• Relevant tertiary qualification and experience in BI, data analytics, or a related field
