Senior Sales Specialist

YOUR NEXT MOVE:

As a Senior Account Manager (officially titled Senior Media Specialist), you’ll own and grow a significant portfolio of NZME customers across Hawke’s Bay, while actively developing new business opportunities.

This is a proactive sales role. You’ll be confident picking up the phone, getting out into the market and opening doors with new customers. Backed by NZME’s digital, print and audio portfolio, you’ll build strong relationships and develop tailored advertising solutions that deliver results.

HOW YOU'LL ADD VALUE:

Sales & Portfolio Growth:
Take ownership of a larger customer portfolio, strengthening key relationships while actively prospecting for new business. Identify opportunities, grow revenue and consistently deliver against sales targets.

Customer Solutions:
Understand your customers’ businesses and objectives, using your experience to develop effective advertising solutions across NZME’s digital, print and audio offering.

Commercial Ownership:
Own your sales pipeline, forecasting and CRM activity. Stay ahead of opportunities and take a proactive, commercially focused approach to your portfolio.

Collaboration:
Work closely with teams across NZME to deliver great campaigns and outcomes for your customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM:

• 3–4+ years’ proven success in sales, business development or account management, ideally within media or a related industry.

• A strong sales mindset and confidence prospecting, approaching new customers and winning new business.

• A proven track record of meeting targets and growing customer portfolios.

• Strong commercial judgement and relationship-building skills.

• The ability to manage a significant portfolio with a high level of ownership and autonomy.

• A proactive approach. You go looking for opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.

WHY IT'S WORTH IT:

Based in beautiful Napier, this is a great next step for an experienced salesperson looking to take ownership of a significant portfolio with one of New Zealand’s leading media companies.

You’ll have NZME’s well-known brands and extensive digital, print and audio offering behind you, with the autonomy to strengthen existing relationships and uncover new opportunities across Hawke’s Bay.

If you thrive on building relationships, winning business and delivering results, we’d love to hear from you.
