Senior Sheetmetal Welder/Engineering Supervisor

About the Role:  We are offering a permanent position to a Sheetmetal Welder/Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering welding and manufacturing projects in our sheetmetal workshop and on site. What you will be doing:  Fabricating a variety of steel products using mild metal and sheetmetal from drawingsHandling, cutting, and assembling aluminium, copper, brass and other roofing & cladding materialsExperience in aluminium joinery fabrication, ideally with a relevant trade qualificationAn integral part of the larger team producing quality work and ensuring good workflow to meet deadlinesOverseeing junior staff members Qualifications, Skills & Experience  Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in welding and engineering.Degree or Diploma in welding engineering or related fieldAbility to work as part of a team and autonomouslyAn eye for detail Previous experience managing a teamExcellent knowledge of reading and interpreting drawingsExceptional communication and organisational skillsWork un-supervised, motivated and self-dependentAnalyse engineering designs for welding requirementsReview procedures, processes and documentationMeasure, cut and weld according to specifications, drawings and blueprintsMaintain a clean and orderly work spacePerform other related duties as assignedStrong organisational and administrative skillsPossess analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailWe offer excellent training where needed, competitive remuneration in line with experience, with a potential path for career growth and a great team environment.  Please note that due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
