We’re looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help shape the infrastructure that powers MATTR’s globally scalable platform. In this pivotal role, you’ll support both production and development environments, working closely with engineering teams to deliver cloud services that are secure, observable, and built to last.

With Infrastructure as Code at the heart of everything we do, you’ll use modern tooling to build, monitor and evolve systems that enable speed, stability and confidence across what we do! 

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining and supporting cloud infrastructure using Terraform to define our Infrastructure as Code in our AWS environments


• Collaborating with engineering teams to improve the reliability, observability, and security of our cloud services


• Developing automation for environment provisioning, deployments, and configuration to reduce manual effort and improve scalability


• Producing clean, consistent and well-organised code to automate infrastructure, builds, deployments and configuration running on the production stack:

• Building shared tooling for incident response, logging, alerting, and CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity


• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule, proactively resolving incidents and leading continuous improvement via post-mortems


• Contributing to our infrastructure roadmap and helping evolve how we monitor and support services at scale


• Becoming a trusted subject matter expert on MATTR’s systems, supporting cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing
  

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of experience managing cloud-based infrastructure in both production and non-production environments


• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD workflows, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)


• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., NodeJS, Go, Bash, Python)


• Hands-on experience with operations and observability tooling like Prometheus, Grafana, HashiCorp Vault, and ArgoCD


• A passion for automation and improving systems continuously


• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly


• A collaborative, low-ego approach, someone who shares knowledge and contributes to team success
  

Bonus points (but not essential) 

• Familiarity of Self-Sovereign Identity, Decentralized Identifiers and the Web of Trust ecosystems.


• Understanding of identity protocols like OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
