As we continue to grow in the South Island, we’re looking for a driven Senior Structural Engineer to join our Christchurch office and play a key role in delivering a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects across the region.

About the role

You’ll be stepping into a tight-knit structural team that works closely with other technical disciplines across the business. This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership - leading projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring others while helping shape the continued growth of our Christchurch presence.

You’ll lead projects from concept through to delivery, building strong client relationships and supporting the team’s development along the way. You’ll be trusted to run projects independently while being backed by a supportive, ambitious team that values learning, collaboration, and having fun.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading structural design and delivery on commercial and industrial projects.


• Managing project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.


• Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development.


• Communicating confidently with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants.


• Taking initiative to solve problems and deliver high-quality outcomes.


• Contributing to the growth and success of the Christchurch office.

What we’re looking for

• 6–10+ years’ structural engineering experience – NZ experience is a must.


• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status in New Zealand is essential.


• Strong technical capability across steel and concrete structures, with complex design on our industrial builds.


• Confidence leading projects and building strong client relationships.


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.


• Someone who enjoys being part of a fun, flexible, and growth-minded team.
