As a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant, you'll play a trusted advisory role in shaping thoughtful, inclusive, and high-quality recruitment experiences across ANZ Aotearoa. Partnering closely with business leaders, you'll help attract and secure exceptional talent for a range of highly specialised and business-critical roles that support ANZ's ongoing success. 

You'll lead end-to-end recruitment with care and confidence, taking the time to understand business needs, assess talent thoughtfully, and provide proactive and clear advice to hiring managers, candidates, and key stakeholders. With a solutions-focused mindset, you'll navigate complexity with ease, balancing quality, governance and candidate experience while managing multiple recruitment activities and competing business priorities.

This is a senior recruitment position that combines strategic partnering with strong recruiter craft and hands-on delivery. You'll operate across a dynamic portfolio of specialist and business-critical roles, balancing competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes, navigating governance requirements, and maintaining a strong focus on stakeholder and candidate experience. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include: 

• Partnering closely with business leaders to understand current and future capability needs, delivering high-quality end-to-end recruitment across complex, specialist and business-critical roles. 

• Building trusted relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders, providing strategic recruitment advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process. 

• championing inclusive and equitable hiring practices, actively supporting ANZ's diversity ambitions and coaching leaders to challenge traditional recruitment thinking. 

• Leveraging market insights, talent intelligence and proactive sourcing strategies to identify and attract high-calibre talent in competitive and candidate-short markets. 

• Delivering recruitment outcomes efficiently while ensuring compliance with ANZ recruitment policies, employment obligations, risk frameworks and governance requirements. 

• Acting as a senior contributor within a high-performing recruitment team, supporting collaboration, shared ownership and constructive load-sharing during periods of high demand. 

• Continuously improving recruitment processes, tools and practices to enhance efficiency, candidate experience and delivery outcomes.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

• Strong experience in internal, in-house recruitment, ideally within a large and complex organisation, with a track record of successfully recruiting for specialist, business-critical or hard-to-fill roles. 

• Previous experience recruiting across complex specialist domains such as Institutional Banking, Funds Management, Markets, Risk, Technology, Data, or other highly specialised professional disciplines. 

• A proven ability to attract, engage and convert passive talent, including proactive sourcing of scarce skillsets in highly competitive candidate markets. 

• Demonstrated stakeholder partnering and influencing skills, with confidence advising and coaching hiring managers on effective and inclusive recruitment practices. 

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy and evolving portfolio while maintaining quality, attention to detail and a positive candidate experience. 

• Confidence working within established recruitment processes, policies and governance frameworks, applying sound judgement to navigate complex situations and deliver practical outcomes. 

• A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and collaborate effectively to achieve outcomes.
