Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst who can quickly make a positive impact. This fixed term role is expected to be approximately 6-12 months in duration and will end when the incumbent returns from Parental Leave. 

As part of a small team, you’ll need to be adaptable, versatile and comfortable switching between requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, vendor coordination and supporting project work. You’ll work closely with teams across the Ministry to understand business needs, improve how our systems are used and help ensure changes land smoothly.

Kōrero mōu | About you 

We’re after someone with significant experience in business and process analysis experience and strong documentation skills. You’ll bring: 

• experience gathering requirements and using process mapping or workflow tools (for example, Nintex Process Manager or similar). 

• knowledge of public‑sector information management, privacy and security expectations, including the Public Records Act 2005, Official Information Act 1982, Privacy Act 2020, Protective Security Requirements (PSR). 

• demonstrated ability to produce user‑focused system documentation. 

• a delivery focus to project tasks and milestones. 

• strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. 

Experience of supporting a records management compliance programme would be an advantage.
