Job Description

Our Civil Infrastructure team is looking for a highly driven Senior Transport Planner to join our successful Transport Advisory practice.

This role has a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with key clients, leading and enhancing the transport planning technical practice within the local team.

What will a day in this role look like?

• Developing technical solutions and business cases for key projects including road transport, multi-modal and public transport infrastructure schemes.
• Utlising your experience within the transportation sector, you'll be supporting relationships with existing clients and external parties, and actively seeking new business opportunities to grow the AECOM brand.
• Applying the theory of engineering principles regarding planning, design and operations and its application in a range of scenarios to analyse real-world problems.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior transport planners to enhance their careers and service offerings to clients.

• 5+ years’ experience preferably within a consulting environment with exposure to delivering large scale transport infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of road transport, multi-modal and public transport planning including land use and transport integration.
• Consulting and extensive business case development experience including a good understanding of central government infrastructure funding
• Experience in the delivery of integrated land use / transport planning studies for regions/corridors and Transport Impact Assessments.
• Sound fundamental understanding of transport modelling including the strengths and weaknesses of models for assessing traffic impacts is advantageous.
