Senior Turbine Engineer - Positive Work Culture

Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive solutions in the power industry, specialising in the overhaul and servicing of generation plants across the country.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects involving the overhaul or service of steam/geothermal or hydro generation plants, ensuring that all works are completed to schedule, budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects involving the overhaul or service of generation plants nationwide.
• Lead service teams of up to twenty persons, including multi-disciplinary subcontractors.
• Ensure that outages are managed to tight schedules, with a strong focus on quality control and health and safety.
• Oversee repairs and manage variations related to repairs effectively.
• Report project progress to clients and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience managing projects in responsible geothermal or steam turbine experience.
• Ability to effectively supervise overhauls with teams of up to 10 staff and 30 individual contractors.
• Familiarity with health and safety policies and procedures in construction/industrial environments.
• Experience in quality control management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to clients.
• Ability to contribute to the management and marketing of project management services.
