Service Coordinator Lead (healthcare environment)

We re seeking an administrative expert to provide strong, positive leadership to our small and dedicated team.

With the acquisition several new orthotics contracts over the last two years, our service in the Northern Region has seen significant growth and evolution. Therefore, we are seeking a Service Coordinator Lead who can support, organise and coordinate the busy and fast paced day to day operations of our orthotic service.

As Service Coordinator Lead, you will motivate and engage a team of three Service Coordinators, and you will be responsible for the oversight of the quality of their customer service and work.

This is a pivotal role for the Auckland Centre, with Service Coordinators being one of the first interactions our patients have with our organisation.  Therefore, it is critical that this role champions a positive service experience from day one.  You will apply your skills and experience to ensure the team have a positive and welcoming demeanour, there are efficient and effective procedures in place and that you and your team are key supporters of team collaboration to maximise the patients

The Service Coordinator Lead will have strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and show initiative in order to support the Regional Orthotics manager in day to operations including clinical team scheduling (includes adjustment to schedule in response to staff absence), development and review of systems and processes, invoicing, preparing reports.                

Key to this role is the ability to provide strong, positive leadership to your team, and engage and collaborate with other people leaders.

The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A passion to provide patients with the best level of service and a desire to go above and beyond to get the right outcomes
• Demonstratable and relevant experience in service coordination, administration and scheduling, ideally within the health sector
• Leadership experience or proven transferrable skills
• A working understanding of privacy legislation and the Health and Disability Code of Rights
• Ability to identify and implement process improvement
• Experience in a fast paced and changing environment
• Sound information technology skills and ability to use internal IT systems proficiently, including Word and Excel.  Ability to pick up and use our internal patient management system (‘Manaaki’) quickly and effectively.
