In the role, you will:

• Test, diagnose and repair fusion splicing equipment and associated accessories
  


• Test, diagnose, calibrate and repair test equipment and associated accessories
  


• Provide technical support to internal and external customers
  


• Perform quality control checks on new equipment prior to shipment to customers
  


• Build customer relationships and loyalty through direct customer service support
  


• Provide fast and dependable repair service and support
  


• Actively engage in continuous improvement processes and activities
  


• Participate in product qualification and R&D as required
  

Requirements

• The ability to logically troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment
  


• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts
  


• Strong desire and ability to learn and expand fibre optic knowledge
  


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  


• Strong organizational skills
  


• Energetic desire to help the customer
  


• Active participation in process improvement efforts
  


• Proficient with Microsoft suite programs
