Qualified Teacher – Settlement Road Early Learning

This is a full-time 40 hour per week position in an established and well-resourced Early Learning Centre operating from 7.30 am – 5.30pm each day. There is roll of 40 children between 2-5 years of age. The Centre is open in the term breaks with a closedown period over Christmas and New Year.

Settlement Road Early Learning Centre is affiliated to Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association, and as such our teachers are employed under the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement.

We are seeking a qualified teacher  who is an enthusiastic, collaborative and a self-motivated team player, who is a great communicator, passionate about teaching in a mixed-age, multi-cultural setting and inclusive of children from diverse backgrounds.

As a valued team member, you will be welcomed into a team who are passionate about building meaningful relationships with children and their families and providing learning opportunities that extend beyond the Centre, into the wider community.

The successful applicant must have sound knowledge of current approaches to teaching and learning, including internal evaluation; be committed to on-going professional development; and have a passion for supporting, enriching and documenting children’s learning progress. As this is an Enviroschools Centre, an interest in environmental sustainability would be an advantage.

Applicants require a minimum Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Teaching ECE, current first aid certificate and teacher practicing certificate.

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and reside in New Zealand currently.
