Job Description - Site Leader - Sales & Operations

About the Role
As Site Leader, you’ll have full responsibility for leading the Internal Sales, External Sales, and Operations teams, ensuring the day-to-day running of the branch is smooth, efficient, and aligned with Vulcan’s standards and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily branch functions and operational performance
  • Set and manage sales and operations targets
  • Drive territory management and maximise branch revenue, margin, and customer growth
  • Lead ongoing sales training and support initiatives
  • Develop and deliver branch improvement plans and participate in sales and operations planning
  • Support external sales, estimating, and customer service as needed
  • Collaborate with other Vulcan business units to strengthen customer relationships and team alignment
  • Ensure full compliance with Vulcan’s health & safety standards
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven success in B2B sales, with a strong track record of results
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a sales or operations environment (industrial or distribution sector ideal)
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a history of achieving revenue and profit targets
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to manage and grow client relationships
  • Confident leader who builds trust, engages teams, and drives performance
  • Solutions-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
