Small Engine Mechanic / Apprentice

We have a position available for a motivated and skilled small engine mechanic to join our amazing team, to meet our increasing business needs.

There is also an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our apprenticeship programme providing a career pathway within a premium brand industry, supported by STIHL NZ.

To succeed in these positions, you will:

For the Technician role, ideally have experience in the following industries:

• Small Engines
• Motorcycles
• Outboard motors
• Automotive
• Heavy Diesel
• Electrical
• Electrical or automotive technicians with the defence forces
• Have the ability to diagnose, service and repair a range of equipment

For the Apprentice Position:

• You have a strong passion to learn in an established industry providing a career pathway with growth and personal development
• Ability to grasp mechanical concepts enabling you to develop the technical skills to diagnose, repair and service outdoor power equipment and small engines
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn with a can-do attitude
  
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Communicate well and provide great customer service
• Have the ability to multitask
• Be highly motivated and self-driven
