Software Developer

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join our team, to support the growth and development of our supply chain product suite. Eversource provides tailored solutions for multi-branch organisations, franchise networks and associations throughout New Zealand. 

This is a new position, in which you will provide proactive technical and professional support to the platform, suppliers and clients. You will work from home, but be based in Dunedin to enable regular face to face connection and collaboration with colleagues. This is a fixed term role for an initial 6-month commitment to support our growth, taking on additional workload and projects in the development phase of the product suite. Our size provides plenty of opportunity for you to be involved in many parts of the whole development cycle.

On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and enhancing the Eversource product suite, working with the latest versions of various software, including data mapping and connectivity to our legacy platform.
• Contributing to planning, writing, testing and documentation.
• Supporting the effective onboarding of new clients, tailoring solutions to meet client needs and supporting our Client Success team.
• Supporting and building effective data integrations with new suppliers

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have:

• 5 – 8 years commercial experience with software development.
• Proficiency working on IT systems with high uptime requirements.
• Proven problem solving and communication skills, that demonstrate a commitment to a solutions focus.
• A willingness to be multi-skilled and apply those skills flexibly across the team as needed.
• Experience in several programming languages such as .Net, HTML, SQL, Tailwind, Java, Java Script, Angular and Docker.
