The opportunity

This role will assist in bringing software development best practices and modernisation to Auxo and be part of our transition to a SaaS business. The current desktop solutions are developed in a language called Clarion, which is a Windows-based 4GL. We anticipate that these solutions will transition to the cloud using more modern technologies such as .Net, Typescript, React/Angular, and AWS/AZURE.

What you will be doing

• Building high-quality software applications following industry best practices
• Collaborating with QA team to ensure that all code is robust
• Reporting work progress regularly to the engineering lead
• Helping to improve the effectiveness of our software development practices, processes, and tools
• Keeping up to date with current industry best practice techniques for software development
• Delivering features consistently on time and with the desired business value
• Working effectively and collaboratively as a team and delivering results as a team

What we’re looking for

The perfect candidate comes from a Microsoft development background with substantial experience in C#, .Net, and SQL Server but is open to and willing to learn a new language to help support the existing technology stack (Clarion, by SoftVelocity).

We'd like to hear from you if you have the following:

• 3+ years of  proven software engineering or software development experience using .NET and modern front-end frameworks or libraries such as NextJS or Angular
• Proven experience with Domain Driven Design
• Proven experience with front-end unit testing tools such as Jasmine and Jest
• Proven experience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment and delivery
• Proven experience with build and deployment automation using GitHub Actions or Ansible 
• Strong understanding of APIs
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience building workshop management systems
• Experience with ABP Framework
• Experience using relevant tool suites such as Git, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity, GitHub
