As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated Solar Project Engineer to join our team and support our growing business.

Job Summary:

Trilect Solar is actively seeking a junior Project Engineer to join its Auckland team. This pivotal role focuses on supporting the seamless execution of Solar farm and rooftop projects across the nation. As the Solar Project Engineer you will be engaged in various project facets, including project planning, coordination, subcontractor management, design support, procurement, and involvement in technical and commercial aspects of the project. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing bill of materials, assisting with procurement and logistics.
• Creation of quality control, testing and comissioning and other key process documents for solar farm development and construciton.  
• Create schedules, coordinate tasks, and manage resources.
• Assisting with testing and commissioning onsite. 
• Maintain accurate records, provide manuals, and warranties.
• Spend time on site to ensure quality of installations and progress report preparation.  
• Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders, which may include clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Creation of H&S processes and documentation. 

Requirements:

• Previous exposure to project management functions, ideally within the solar utility or commercial sector.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Basic understanding of power systems, solar PV, and construction principles.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, while advantageous, is not mandatory.
• A sensor of humour!
