About the role

Our busy Environment and Planning team helps clients understand the dynamic legal, regulatory and political frameworks around urban planning, infrastructure development and environmental issues like freshwater quality, climate change, energy and renewables. 

Our multi-disciplinary team, led by market leaders Allison Arthur-Young, Daniel Minhinnick , Simon Pilkinton and Lauren Rapley has the ability and the depth to take on big projects, and complex legal questions. We're known for the way we collaboratively partner with our clients, as well as our industry knowledge, commercial nous and understanding of our client's broader strategic objectives.  You will get exposure to some of the most interesting advisory and environmental litigation work in New Zealand and will learn from the best in a high-achieving team and firm that is committed to developing your career and fostering a positive work environment.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

• 2 – 4 years' experience in environmental and planning law;


• a strong academic record;


• excellent technical, research, and written communication abilities;


• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build connections and work collaboratively.
