About the opportunity

This is an amazing opportunity to develop a career within health and safety. Our specialist team of lawyers, led by Grant Nicholson (widely regarded as one of New Zealand's leading health and safety lawyers), work across a wide range of sectors including construction and infrastructure companies, Crown entities, distributors, insurance companies, logistic providers, manufacturers, not-for-profits, territorial authorities, tourism operators and others on their health and safety needs.

The work is interesting and varied, you will be exposed to 'front end' advisory work focussing on legal compliance and risk management as well as 'back end' work, representing clients on serious incident investigations, interactions with regulators, coroners, and the courts. Our clients reply on us to help them when disaster strikes, you'll never know what new instruction lies ahead.

About you 

• You will be admitted to practice in New Zealand.


• Have at least two years' experience, ideally within a litigation or legal regulatory environment.


• Can work independently and demonstrate sound judgement, problem solving skills and the ability to write cogently and persuasively. 


• Able to take a commercial and pragmatic approach to providing advice.
