The role 

As a Solution Architect at Equinox, you will work across a diverse portfolio of clients and challenges. Some engagements will call for hands-on design and implementation work; others for strategic advice, facilitation, or helping a client organisation work through a difficult decision. You will bring a broad technology perspective, sharp business instincts, and the communication skills to make both count. 

Day to day, you will: 

• Work with clients to understand their business context, technology landscape, what they actually need to achieve. 

• Designing and implementing pragmatic, end-to-end solutions to those business outcomes 

• Deep knowledge and capabilities across software, application, integration, and cloud — with a sound understanding of infrastructure implications 

• Help clients navigate trade-offs clearly: providing options, risks, and recommendations in ways that enable confident decisions 

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels — from to delivery teams— and know how to work effectively with each 

• Communicate ideas clearly and persuasively, in writing and in conversation, adapting your approach to the audience 

• Contribute to Equinox as a practice: sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and helping us stay at the leading edge 

What you'll bring

• Solid architectural experience across the software and application space — with enough breadth to engage meaningfully on infrastructure, integration, data, and security 

• The ability to balance specialist depth with generalist perspective: you know when to go deep and when to step back 

• Strong business acumen — you understand how organisations work, what drives decisions, and how to connect technology thinking to real business outcomes 

• Excellent interpersonal skills: you listen well, ask good questions, and can hold a room without dominating it 

• Clear, purposeful communication — written and verbal — with the ability to express complex ideas in ways that land with different audiences 

• A genuine interest in your clients' success: you are invested in helping them win, not just delivering a workstream 

• Comfort with ambiguity: consulting rarely presents tidy problems, and you are at your best when navigating complexity
