Job Description - Solutions Architect - Data

Data Architecture
- Conceptual/Logical Design
- Assessment of DCSA standard/model, and alignment to systems/sources/needs
- Capturing resulting modelling in LinkML (with the help of AI)
- Maintaining tooling to transform LinkML to Documentation for general consumption
- Maintaining tooling to transform LinkML to DBT to become actionable/deployable
- Maintaining tooling to interface LinkML & DBT to Unity Catalog

Team Technical Leadership
- Guiding/Mentoring the team in following the above standards
- Guiding/Mentoring the team in using AI tooling
- A bit of general solution architecture
- Interfacing with other business stakeholders for requirements/alignment
- Interfacing with other business technical leaders (IT for infrastructure/cloud, other architects, other technical teams for alignment with their tech/systems, etc)

Some Data Engineering
- Python/SQL on Spark, on Databricks
- Managing Clusters, Pipelines, Jobs, etc
- Interacting with Unity Catalog
- CI/CD on Azure DevOps
- Git management (repo management, PR/Code Reviews, Deployments, etc)
- Building Transformations in DBT

Some AI work/technical leadership
- Helping with early adoption of AI tooling (Claude Code, OpenCode, Databricks Agents/Genie)
- Helping build out their own in-house Agent
