About the role

The South Island Sales Account Manger is focused on sustaining existing customer relationships, and also developing new customers and sales opportunities across the South Island. 

Key Responsibilities

• Generate sales plans and initiatives to reach monthly regional sales targets.
• Identify and qualify new commercial opportunities to support business growth.
• Work closely with administration team to prepare sales transactions (quotes, sales orders, credit requests, technical support requests).
• Provide an exceptional level of service (technical and product support) to customers via phone, email or in person.
• Manage inventory and merchandising requirements for Hamer customers.
• Provide monthly sales reports and commercial updates to commercial leaders in the business.

About you

To deliver a high level of service to our customers, electrical wholesale and/or supplier experience with a trade is background preferred.  Candidates also must be a self-starter that is highly motivated to achieve sales targets and succeed, both individually and as part of a team.

You must be/have:

• Initiative-taking, self-discipled and conscientious approach to their work.
• Experience within the electrical or wholesale industry.
• Someone who enjoys setting targets and achieving them.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable contributing and add value to a wider team.
• Have a high energy, action-oriented approach to your work.
• Possess intermediate IT skills and experience.
• Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office Tools.
