The New Zealand Financial Intelligence Unit (NZFIU) is a key part of the detection, prevention and investigation of a range of serious criminal offences, including money laundering, the financing of terrorism, proliferation financing and breaches of international law. We receive a vast amount of information from the private sector that provides leads and support to investigations across multiple domestic and international agencies.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Strategic Intelligence Supervisor to lead a high-performing team within the NZFIU. In this leadership role, you’ll drive strategic intelligence, influence national AML/CFT priorities, and contribute to policy and regulatory change—helping keep New Zealand communities safe from serious financial crime.
As the Strategic Intelligence Supervisor, you will lead and deliver strategic intelligence capability within the NZFIU. This includes overseeing research and analysis, producing national-level intelligence products and risk assessments, and provide expert advice across government and industry.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $111,592.00 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
