Structured Cabling Technician - Dunedin

We specialise in delivering quality Fibre Optic and ICT & Security systems nationwide with a special emphasis on the deployment of the latest technology solutions.

The Company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Cabling Technician to assist us in delivering high-quality cabling infrastructure systems within the Otago region. The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to develop within the company and possibly take on more of a Foreman role in the future.

Requirements for the role/s are as follows:

• Have training and accreditation in at least one of the following Structured Cabling standards:

1. CommScope
2. Siemon
3. Torque IP

• Be able to demonstrate/be proficient in all facets of structured cabling
• Have experience working in commercial and light industrial Data/ICT or similar environments
• Be able to work autonomously and unsupervised in fast-paced environments
• Be systematic, methodical and accurate in your work, following the established processes (including Health and Safety)
• Have strong communication and customer services skills to be able to work in with clients (we need to be able to have confidence in your ability to liaise with them) and as part of a close-knit team
• Have a full, clean drivers license
• Be fit and healthy in order to meet the physical demands of the job
• Be able to pass a pre-employment testing including a drug test and police vetting
• Be computer literate to be able to use our tablet-based reporting and operational systems
