What you will be doing 
Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will ensure key suppliers meet performance, commercial, risk, and sustainability expectations while supporting innovation and continuous improvement.  

Your key responsibilities are: 

• Lead the strategic management of key supplier relationships, acting as the primary commercial interface and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. 

• Develop and implement structured Supplier Relationship Management frameworks, including performance measures, KPIs, service level agreements, and governance forums. 

• Drive continuous improvement and value delivery by identifying optimisation opportunities, fostering innovation, and reporting on measurable outcomes such as cost efficiencies and service enhancements. 

• Liaise effectively with all Auckland Airport staff and external stakeholders to deliver positive business outcomes and represent Auckland Airport commercial interests 

• Lead proactive management of supplier-related risks including operational, commercial, reputational, and supply chain risks. 

• Maintain supplier governance structures including executive forums and balanced scorecard reporting. 

• Provide regular reporting on supplier performance, risks, and value outcomes to Procurement leadership and business stakeholders. 

• Embedding SRM discipline and governance across a broad business.

We are seeking a strong communicator who can balance commercial tension with collaborative, long-term supplier partnerships and drive measurable value beyond traditional cost savings. 

To ensure your success in this role, you will need: 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supplier Relationship Management, Procurement, Commercial Management, or Contract Management within a complex organisation. 

• Degree in Commerce/Business Studies, or other related field 

• Demonstrated experience managing contract financial data including and managing contract variations etc. 

• Demonstrated success in applying influence and/or negotiating to achieve a win/win outcome with excellent relationship-building skills at all levels of the organisation 

• Demonstrated ability to drive supplier performance improvements and value creation initiatives. 

• Strong risk management mindset with experience identifying and managing supplier-related risks.
