About the role: As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating computer systems and networks. You will manage on-site and cloud-based server infrastructure, provide technical support to the Client Service team, and ensure clients' needs are met effectively.
About you: We're looking for someone who is responsible and self-motivated, who thrives in a busy environment. You should be proactive in researching and implementing technical solutions and comfortable proposing creative ideas to solve problems. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
Main responsibilities:- Maintain on-site network infrastructure in a mixed OS environment, backups and offsite archiving, UPS and disaster recovery systems
- Manage software licensing, antivirus solutions and Microsoft 365 Cloud environments
- Assist with infrastructure projects and cloud migrations
- Support delivery of technical support and product training to both AMS Nightlife clients and internal staff
- Fault diagnosis and resolution
- Contribute to the creation, testing and ongoing updating of documentation
- Escalate on-going issues that creates strain on the client relationship to ensure clients get an exceptional level of support and provide after hours phone support where required
Qualifications and Experience:- Two years experience in an IT based role
- Knowledge of Microsoft systems
- Experience with managing Linux (Debian) based servers and working with Ubiquiti networking equipment is desirable
- Skill in hardware and software fault finding and resolution
- Experience working in a client service, support or other client-facing role preferred
- Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor qualifications in IT desirable
